William Bill Alexander paints Fall River part 1/3 wet on wet oil painting art
www.alexanderart.com William (Bill) Alexander was born in 1915 in East Prussia. As a youth he used his artistic talents to paint carriages and murals for local aristocrats. After the war, Bill and his family immigrated to North America to pursue their dream of building a home and to share Bills gift of painting. Bill and his wife, Margaret, traveled throughout the United States and Canada teaching painting and making friends, often selling paintings to meet living expenses along the way. During this time Bill worked hard to develop his wet-on-wet technique and products. He developed the base medium Magic White, extra-thick oil paints, and special palette knives and brushes. These products work together to help artists, even a beginning artist, create beautiful scenes on the canvas. By 1974, when he completed his first Emmy-winning Magic of Oil painting television show, Bills dream had become a reality. He had built himself a home in North America a home in the hearts of thousands who discovered with Bills help that they could have the almighty power to fire in and be happy painters too. Today, Bill continues to teach the world to paint through his television shows available on DVD.

I HAVE THE BRUSH OF ODIN!!!!
i love how he talks about his art. all about derr trees and a little or this and this and this…here and there..and there and theree
@2PacShakurMakaveli7 Greek? Does he have enough natural oil in his hair to supply North America for a year?
This brilliant man..just told us all to engage the canvas with no mercy….
Fire it in! LOL
“How the hell would you start here.” Lol, this dude is great.
Acrylics dry too fast and will not blend. Oil is a far easier medium.
LOL! This guy is really animated huh? I dunno what he’s saying, but I’ll go along for the ride.
can you do this with acrylic paints?
“I wield the wand of ODEN!”
Thanks for making this video!
p.s. in what do you clean your big brush from oil?
HW SO SWEET I LOVE HIS ART HE’S REALL GOO THX
@stymye Yeah Ive already known all of that. I hav many of Bob Ross’s seasons on DVD&he endearingly mentions Bill Alexander often. Both hav their own subtle unique style-both in color content&technique. Ross paid tribute to Bill on many of his shows but whether u think Ross ever achieved som sort of mystical level of his”master”is just ur subjective opinion.Majority of people dont even know who Bill Alexander is-EVERYONE knows Bob Ross. Either way I dont care to argue such pointless things anyway
@MaladaptiveCatalyst Bob Ross even uses Alexander paints and brushes in the first season… .. now Bob’s site claims that Bob created his own style after watching Alexander…how sad. ..however in the art community this is called
“The Alexander wet on wet technique”….a touch of respect
@USADeborah huh. did Bill Alexander pass away? i havent read any news regarding his passing.
Bob Ross dedicates his show to Bill Alexander in the first seasons of his Joy of Painting series. Bill Alexander taught Bob Ross the wet-on-wet method eventhough Ross is classically trained. I knew of Ross before Alexander, but I really enjoy Bill Alexander’s pleasant nature and unique compositions. RIP BOB ROSS, Much Respect.

I’d like to know what type of brush have you used..there are some typical types for oil painting?
@MrCJDrax Nah, he just used a lot of ‘Prussian Blue’ in his paintings.
Honest mistake though
